With temporary participation from Lower Saxony, the Hanse-Office has since successfully represented the interests of both states before the European institutions. We maintain an extensive network of contacts within the European institutions, in particular with the European Commission, the Permanent Representation of the Federal Republic of Germany, and the European Parliament. Our strong contacts allow us to bring the interests of Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein into European decision-making processes at an early stage.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, we actively promote our home regions by showcasing the diversity of both states through events, meetings, and cultural activities in Brussels.<br \/>\nWe maintain close partnerships with the other regional offices in Brussels, particularly those of the other North German states and the wider Baltic Sea region.
